Tushita Buddhist Center in Thousand Oaks is the third Kadampa Buddhist Center in the Los Angeles area. Opened this year, its purpose is to provide a facility where the people of San Fernando Valley and Conejo Valley can train in meditation and other practices of Kadampa Buddhism. The center offers a range of meditation classes, study programs, chanted meditations and events.
The meditation classes offered at Tushita Buddhist Center combine guided meditation with practical advice on how to reduce stress and solve problems in daily life. Taught by Westerners, the meditation classes are very easy to understand and are suitable for both beginners as well as advanced meditation practitioners.
